Sunday Sketch | Lisa Truesdell
This week, our scrapbook sketch is a 9" x 12" Christmas layout with a cluster of patterned papers backing the photo. Our card sketch is also holiday-themed, with a stamped background and a round area encompassing the sentiment, and our pocket page sketch uses a 3" x 4" journaling card and a 4" x 6" photo collage with a project title. Creative Team member Lisa Truesdell is joining us this week and sharing her take on the week's card sketch! Be sure to follow Lisa here at SC to see more of her work and keep up with her.
Our scrapbook sketch comes from Anna-Maria Wolniak's Believing is Seeing layout:
Our card sketch comes from Carson Riutta's Happy Blended Holidays card:
Our pocket page sketch comes from Kelly Noel's PL June (2) spread:
And here's Lisa's take on our card sketch:
Happy week after Halloween, everyone!! I couldn't resist printing out a few photos from last week to use for this sketch. I opted to turn the card sketch into a layout... but ended up straying fairly far from the inspiration! I did arrange my three prints in the lower left corner, and arranged them to echo the circle on the sketch. I added a strong horizontal element with the dark teal paper, and then scattered vellum and tone on tone stars across the top of my page. I went with an almost monochromatic color scheme - I loved how the fall tones in my photos popped against the blues in these papers!
When it came time to add a title to my page, I couldn't resist using the new By the Numbers set - the first stamps for The Stamp Subscription! I stamped the "31" with Color Theory Glass Slipper ink, and then added a script phrase over the top.
Supplies : Sonnet Scrapbook kit, By The Numbers | The Stamp Subscription, Color Theory Glass Slipper and Clean Slate
