Crop Challenge | Over Stamping with Lisa

Believe it or not, for this card I stamped the sun rays THREE times! Yep that's right! First, using the MISTI tool, I partially inked the rays in Color Theory sunny day ink, misted it with water, and stamped it. Then without moving the stamp, I partially inked it and stamped it again, only this time with Color Theory orange county.

Then, I used gold pigment ink for some shimmer and stamped it offset from the other rays. And then! For the sun itself I stamped it TWICE. I first inked up the stamp with sunny day, misted it with water and stamped it right in the middle, then I inked just the edges in orange county, misted with water, and stamped again. And there you have it, over stamping!

My challenge to you is to give this technique a try! When you complete this challenge, upload it to the member gallery and leave a link to your project in the comments below. See ALL of the crop challenges here.

My first attempt! I used a "vintage" SC stamp of a sewing machine, first "kissing" it with black ink from a pattern builder stamp and then stamping in green. Only took about 10 attempts.

I used the cactus stamp to try this challenge with. It helped in getting color variations for all my cacti and pots! Bonus I finally used my Misti, yay!

I loved this technique and stamped eight cards in my first go, all in different color variations! I just wanted to keep going! The gold pigment ink really added that extra something. I'll be making more of these. Thanks, @sideoats!

My first one as well, first card with over stamping. I used old ones and been abandoned in my craft box. I'm so glad I join in this challenge and found my inspiration with your crop challenge, so true that I am 'blooming' with you guys!

I also used orange and yellow (and green). Using the technique I started by stamping the carrot from the Veggie stamp set in yellow followed by orange. Then I stamped the leaves/top of the carrot twice in green. I found the technique to be very difficult, but I enjoyed trying it out and this is what I ended up with

I was pleasantly surprised at how well this turned out. I over stamped the larger stamps with Orange County, Lemon Zest, Coral Bay, Well Red, and Blush Crush. So fun! http://www.studiocalico.com/galleries/200091-volcano-drinks

Liked this one and combined it with the card sketch. I used black for the outlines and different shades of blueish/greenish colors for the overstamping. http://www.studiocalico.com/galleries/200096-get-well-soon-card-with-overstamping-sketch-inspired

I don't have a misti, so I just repeated the stamping by hand. I also misted the inks for a fun effect.

I also repeated the stamping by hand. I used ABM plum ink and overstamped with a white ink on the tops of the onions in the onion card.
