LOTW | Jenny

Our Layout of the Week, Wildflowers, comes from our member Jenny (username jenjeb). We love how Jenny was inspired by CT member Nancy Damiano's painted wood veneer butterflies! To keep up with Jenny and see more of her work, be sure to follow her here at SC

Here's what Jenny has to say about her project:

Thanks for choosing my layout to be LOTW! I was so inspired by Nancy Damiano’s “Art” layout that I did a straight lift of her project, thanks to one of Studio Calico’s Instagram stories where they showed how they painted the butterfly wood veneer using washi tape. After I added the white paint, I waited for the paint to dry before using a black sharpie to add polka dots. For my title, since there are limited letters in the alphas, I just made an extra “L” and “W” by alternating existing alphas. I finished the layout by adding some butterfly stamps, journaling strips on vellum, and some pattern paper popped up with foam dots. I love that there is always so much inspiration here at Studio Calico!

Congratulations, Jenny! More members added this project to their inspiration books for the week of 4.4 - 4.10 than any other, making it our Layout of the Week! You have won a $10 gift card to be used on any new purchase at Studio Calico. Want a chance to win next week? We love our creative community, and invite you to be a part of it. Share your work in the Studio Calico member gallery, and don't forget to take the time to add your favorites to your own inspiration book.
