Using Written in the Stars Kits with Jen Chapin

Hey, everyone! Jen here, and I'm coming to you today to share a layout using the April Kits here at Studio Calico. For this page, I've used a combination of the main Scrapbook Kit, Documenter Kit, and patterned paper add-on.

These photos have such a fun story behind them. One of my best friends had a baby a few months after I did, so my older daughter and him have grown up together. When they were babies, we used to take them swimming. As it turns out, now they are seven and on swim team together! One night at practice, we had them recreate this photo from when they were one year old.

I started with that pretty piece of blue patterned paper from the main Scrapbook Kit and layered on a piece of white cardstock. I then placed my photos and the title. Since I didn't have enough of the grey chipboard letters to spell the whole title, I used some of the black letter stickers from the Project Life kit to spell out half of it.

I then added some vellum stars from the Project Life kit, as well as some patterned paper punched circles. I added some texture with stitching, as well as typewriter journaling.

I hope this has inspired you to scrapbook some "then & now" photos! It's a fun way to document the passage of time.

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today. Hope you have a great one!

Fun idea for a LO. I love how the colors in that small strip of pp matches your daughters bathing suit perfectly.
