NSD Crop Challenge | Get Creative with Kit Items with Mandie Pierce

I wasn't sure how I was going to use those speech bubbles. I always think they are cute, but just don't know how to use them. I thought they would be fun on a layout with all of the random Snapchat photos that I send to Troy. It has kind of become a joke between us. :)

I wound up using all of the speech bubbles from both the Scrapbook and Documenter Kits! And, I thought they would just wind up sitting in my stash. I confess, this layout even sat on my desk for over a week after I had glued the speech bubbles down because I still just wasn't sure about it. It turned out to be one I really like!

My challenge for you for National Scrapbooking Day is to use that kit item or item in your stash that you just aren't sure how to use! Put it to use! It very well may become one of your new favorite layouts!

When you complete this challenge, upload it to the member gallery and leave a link to your project in the comments below. See ALL of the crop challenges here.

Finally found a use for the giant chipboard number tags in the Juniper add-on from December. Used them all!

Here's my take on the challenge: https://www.studiocalico.com/galleries/202992-on-a-rock-mountains-behind-me

I've had the rounded squares stickers from SC for a long time, that came in random embellishment kits that I've bought. But squares are a really awkward shape for me to use, so I haven't had much luck with them. For this layout, I punched them with a 1 inch circle punch to turn them into circle stickers, to go with the circle theme I had for the page, and it's so much easier to use them in this circle form!

Like a lot of you - I used those chunky chipboard pieces and frames - all those squares and rectangles worked well to double dip on the Sketch Challenge. https://www.studiocalico.com/galleries/203013-dapper-dog

Loved the sentiment transparency from Sonnet but got stuck on it. Here is my attempt. https://www.studiocalico.com/galleries/203023-love-you
