Using the Been and Gone Documenter Kit with Kelly Noel

Hello, SC friends! The Been and Gone kit really surprised me. At first glance, I wasn't sure of the color palette, but once I had the kit in my hands, I fell in love! The colors, the fun bold patterns and versatile embellishments really wowed me this month. It also made putting together a double-page spread really quick and easy. I've fallen behind in this year's album, so I played catch-up with the kit and created a pocket spread documenting 1/2 of our March.

To start, I always lay out the photos first making sure to leave plenty of space for decorative cards and accents. When choosing which journaling cards and embellishments to use, I spread the colors around making sure that each color is represented in a few places. For example, I used purple in the journaling card on the bottom right, in the number tickets on the left and in the journaling spot on the top. This helps to draw your eye around the page.

There were many things I loved about this kit, but my favorite has to be the ticket booklet! There are so many ways to use the tickets—you can see on my spread how I used them to add journaling, to list out 1-2-3-4 to represent my youngest turning four and how I used one as an embellishment/accent stapled onto a photo.

I hope you're inspired to use your Been and Gone kit to document your everyday memories. Have fun!

I LOVE this spread! I agree, this kit is so easy to work with. Will this spread go up in the gallery so that I can add it to my inspiration book? :)
