Using the Been and Gone Kits with Carson Riutta

I couldn’t believe my luck this month when I opened my kits and saw the stunning Underwater card set designed by Life Love Paper. The saturated colors, the beachy theme, and the gold accents were all simply perfect for documenting our recent trip to Myrtle Beach this past March.

This spread was actually really quick and easy to put together thanks to so many coordinating elements across all the kits. Once my cards and photos were in place, I started looking for matching embellishments and was able to find so many, so quickly. The green alpha in the main Documenter Kit was a perfect match to the rich green of the “Take Me to the Sea” card. The purple in the tag booklet coordinated flawlessly with the pinks and purples of the card set. And the gold stickers from the Here & There Embellishment Kit were the perfect finishing touch to spread some bling around the page.

Of course, there's never enough bling once you get started, so I had to add those gorgeous firework stamps to the layout and emboss them in a matching gold. Those fireworks are so versatile, even if you’re not in a Fourth of July state of mind.

In this case, the cards were so stunning that I forgot to focus on the journaling in this spread, so I had to look through my supplies for some small ways to get more of our story onto the page. I was able to accomplish this with that peach colored sticky note from the To & Fro Kit, as well as with the stamps and a ticket from the fabulous booklet in the main Documenter Kit.

I can’t wait to see how you use these wonderful cards and kits this month! If you don’t have any beach photos waiting to be documented, I highly recommend planning a trip to get some, just so you can use this gorgeous card set. Go on, you deserve it!

Happy crafting, friends!

Carson
