10th Anniversary Challenge | Use Your Leftovers
For even more 10th Anniversary fun, we've rounded up ten of our favorite past blog challenges. We've asked our current Creative Team to share their take on these fun challenges, and we hope you'll play along too!
In this challenge from NSD 2014, we asked you to put your leftover scraps and kit leftovers to good use and use them on a project. Creative Team members Stephanie Baxter, Paige Evans, Becky Novacek and Gillian Nelson shared some inspiring ways to use up those scraps!
And here's Creative Team member Marie Lottermoser's take on this past challenge:
Hi, everyone! I’ve yet to use up an entire kit, so for this challenge I thought I’d do my best to finish off not one but two kits! Spoiler, I didn’t succeed at using everything but I did make a good dent. I started with two Documenter kits which coordinate well together, Alfresco and Written in the Stars.
I tend to use up my embellishments quickly and have quite a few journaling cards leftover. I picked out a few cards I wanted to use on my page, and then I took a punch to the rest of the cards to make an assortment of stars. Luckily the cards are double sided so the stars work for both sides of the page. I used a vellum envelope which was part of the kit packaging, trimmed it down to 4x6, and spread the stars inside. I slipped it in the page protector, with the fold of the envelope at the top of the pocket so the stars wouldn’t slip out. I am happy with how the page turned out, and glad I was able to use up so many supplies!
Let's see how you use up your kit leftovers and scraps for a chance to win a $10 GC to the Studio Calico shop! When you complete this challenge, upload it to the member gallery and leave a link to your project in the comments below. See all of our 10th Anniversary challenges here.

Used lots of little pieces of leftovers in making this Christmas card...the clear portion of packaging for my window on the shaker, the leftover piece of gold foil paper after punching out a circle for another project, small piece of green leftover cardstock, and my last little piece of this skinny green ribbon I had saved. I also have lots of sequins and stars that I can't seem to use up.

I had a lot of photos week 15, the week the Easterbunny decided to stay ;), so using leftovers was perfect for this spread. I have used leftovers from two different card sets, some leftover cardstock and the last numbers from a pack of alphas.
Thank you for the challenge!

This layout uses a digital printable I had made for another layout where the color didn't match the intended color I thought it was going to be. I also had made stamped images of the alligator, lizard and the later gator on cardstock from a previous project and saved for use later on another project.
