This week our scrapbook sketch is an 8.5" x 11" layout featuring clustered elements in three sections of the page, including one large photo in the lower half offset by two smaller photos in the upper right side with embellishments and titles. Our card sketch has a slightly off-center title with simple embellishment on the left side. And our pocket page sketch features one 4" x 6" title card split over two 3" x 4" pockets and a 3" x 4" photo card with journaling and embellishment. Creative Team member Jamie Waters is joining us this week and sharing her take on the week's scrapbook sketch! Be sure to follow Jamie here at SC to see more of her work and keep up with her.
Our scrapbook sketch comes from Lisa Truesdell's Roadtrip layout:
Our card sketch comes from Lisa Spangler's Wishing You a Speedy Recovery card:

And here's Jamie's take on our scrapbook sketch:
This scrapbook sketch is too fun with the photo sizes and journaling areas and just the right touch of embellishments! Because I find it so hard to cut down my photos, I went with a loose variation with larger photos on a 12" x 12" layout. I like how the base of the photos are similar to the sketch but I made it my own.
My trickle of embellishments was inspired by the little clusters that were near the photos on the sketch. I love the bright colors in this month's Scrapbook Kit—they pop so well with the kraft cardstock. There are so many possibilities with the block of phrases patterned paper. You can keep them together like I did at the top of the layout or you can trim the by phrase like I also did near the journaling. Thanks for stopping by the blog today!
