This week our scrapbook sketch is a 12" x 12" layout featuring a circular grid design and layering under a vertical photo on the right side of the page. Our card sketch has a centered element with a title underneath. And our pocket page sketch features one 4" x 6" photo with embellishment and a 3" x 4" photo card with a title at the top. Creative Team member Jen Chapin is joining us this week and sharing her take on the week's scrapbook sketch! Be sure to follow Jen here at SC to see more of her work and keep up with her.
Our scrapbook sketch comes from Nancy Damiano's Imagine Strawberry Fields layout:
Our card sketch comes from Lisa Spangler's When You Hurt, I Hurt Too card:
And our pocket page sketch comes from Amy Vanden Brink's Project Life Week 14 spread:
And here's Jen's take on our scrapbook sketch:
Hi, everyone! Jen here today, and I'm sharing my take on Nancy's scrapbook page "Imagine Strawberry Fields." I decided to create an 8.5" x 11" layout and started with a piece of gray cardstock from the "Silver Lake Lodge" Kit, adding some gesso to the background to lighten it up a little.
After the gesso had dried, I used a 2" circle punch to punch pieces from the patterned papers in the kit and adhered them to the page with stitching. I was then able to layer on a tag with my photo and use letter stickers to create the title. Embellishments were used from a mix of all the kits this month.
Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today! We would love to see your take on one of the sketches. Leave us a comment so we can check out your work. Have a great week!
