Using the Starlight Scrapbook Kit with Jamie Waters

Tags:

Hi there! Welcome to today's blog post showcasing the main "Starlight" Scrapbook Kit! I was amazed when I opened up this month's packet. I found myself "oohing" and "aahing" over the colors and the patterns of the kit. They are so happy and colorful—I just love the versatility in it.

For this page, I went with 8½" x 11" as I knew I was going to use a bunch of the acetate shapes all at once. I didn't want to have too much negative space in the layout. I wanted the layout to showcase the pretty colors and have them pop off the page. Therefore, making a smaller canvas, rather than a 12" x 12", really showed off the shapes well.

Often when I use acetate products, I like to staple them down. I use my tiny attacher to do this. I love the small impact and the sturdiness. I like knowing that those shapes aren't going to eventually fall off as time goes by. That tiny attacher is my life saver!

I'm so happy with how this page turned out. The little trickle of acetate shapes is my favorite part. I also love the die-cut banner phrases. Pairing those with the acetate shapes makes for good visual interest and texture. I can't wait to see what you come up with for your acetate shapes. See you in the gallery! Thanks for stopping by!
