This week our scrapbook sketch is a 9" x 12" layout featuring layered paper under a horizontal 4" x 6" photo with a title at the bottom of the page and embellishment throughout. Our card sketch has a central stamped image and title with texture and embellishments throughout. And our pocket page sketch features a 3" x 4" journaling card with a small photo and a 4" x 6" photo spit over two pockets. Creative Team member Nancy Damiano is joining us this week and sharing her take on the week's documenter sketch! Be sure to follow Nancy here at SC to see more of her work and keep up with her.
Our scrapbook sketch comes from Jen Chapin's Eat Sleep Play Explore layout:
Our card sketch comes from Carson Riutta's Rooting for You Two card:
And our pocket page sketch comes from Mandie Pierce's Project Life® Week 21*Documenter Only* spread:
And here's Nancy's take on our documenter sketch:
Welcome to some sketch goodness! I love the ease of using an instant design blueprint that a sketch provides. I chose Mandie Pierce's documenter spread to get a jumpstart on my own design.
I love the polaroid style shot from the sketch. To mimic this look, I trimmed a photo into a circular shape and added some stamped text just below.
I also loved Mandie's circle punched pocket in the upper left-hand corner of her page—so I had to use it, too! I used leaves in different colors to mimic the movement and the strips of sticker phrases from the "Gypsy Moon" Documenter Kit to tie it all together. I even used a number just like Mandie did at the top of the card. Instant personalization!
Thanks to Mandie to the great inspiration! I'd love to see your take in the gallery.
