Video | Using the Gypsy Moon Documenter Kit with Marie Lottermoser

Tags:

Hi, everyone! Today I’m going to be sharing a 9" x 12" documenter page I made with the "Gypsy Moon" Documenter Kit.

Whenever fall comes around I think of all the changes that come with it. Here in the Pacific Northwest, the leaves are turning colors, I’m getting out my sweaters, and I’m switching from iced tea to hot coffee. I decided to change things up with my documenter page as well and use a different format of page protector. I normally use page protectors that have typical 3" x 4" pockets in them. In the video below, I show you how I used a pocket page made entirely with 3" x 3" square pockets.

Tips and Tricks:

  • Don’t be afraid to use different types of page protectors. Switching between different layouts and orientations can add a lot of interest to your albums. It’s easy to trim the journaling cards that come with your kit to fit inside different sized pockets.
  • If your pictures are the wrong shape for a pocket (for instance you have a rectangular photo for a square pocket), fill in the empty space with some stamping or embellishments from your kit. You can also try layering your photo on top of a journaling card which is trimmed to the right shape.
  • If you have a lot of pictures you want to use, consider making small photo collages which will fit inside your pockets. Some easy ways to do this are by using a program like Photoshop or an app like Pic Monkey.

I hope you enjoyed this video, and have gained some inspiration for trying some new layouts for your pocket pages. Fall is a perfect season for changing things up a bit. Thanks for stopping by the blog today and have fun using this month’s kits!
