We are excited to announce two new members of the Studio Calico Creative Team! We're looking forward to seeing their inspiring projects in the gallery and blog, and hope you are, too! Get to know these talented designers below.

Pam Baldwin

Hi, everyone! I don't even know where to being to tell you how unbelievably excited I am to be joining the Creative Team here at Studio Calico! I'm Pam ? and I live in Ontario, Canada with my husband and two kids. In my day job, I'm a nurse in the field of Hematology-Oncology, but my specialty is actually working with patients who have had or need to have bone marrow and stem cell transplants. When I'm not at work, I enjoy the little everyday adventures that come along with having a seven-year-old and four-year-old, and of course, taking lots of pictures along the way. And when all of that becomes a little overwhelming, taking some time to document our stories really helps me put everything into perspective. One of my favorite quotes about scrapbooking comes from Ali Edwards when she says "memory keeping is a way to make love visible." Taking the time to reflect on our lives and express gratitude (even when things suck—because real life happens), improves the quality of my life in a way that I don't think any other creative hobby could.

My scrapbooking story starts almost eight years ago when I discovered Creating Keepsakes and Ali Edwards and I saw a photo of the most beautiful scrapbook supplies I had ever seen in my life! It was a picture of the "Lawn Party" Scrapbook Kit by Studio Calico. I really didn't know anything about scrapbooking or kit clubs at the time, but I knew I WANTED THAT KIT! (Paper Moon was my first official kit, but I managed to get Lawn Party on the wait list ?). I signed up and fell in love with the amazing community of bright, funny, supportive, and seriously talented women who have taught me so much!

Since then, I've found a really good fit with hybrid scrapbooking. I love using a mix of digital and physical products to create my projects, which are mainly scrapbook layouts and documenter spreads with a few mini books/albums sprinkled in throughout the year. I've always felt that if I hadn't become a nurse, I would have definitely been a teacher. I love sharing what I've learned with others to help them grow their skills and tell their stories! (I currently have two classes over at Big Picture Classes if hybrid scrapbooking is something you'd like to learn more about.) I know everyone's style changes with time, but there are a few things that are my go-to strategies that I still love after all this time: 1. Big pictures 2. Simple/not overly embellished designs and 3. Textures (like cork, wood veneer, chipboard, stitching....I could keep going. I go through a LOT of foam adhesive squares). I feel so lucky to have been a part of Ali Edwards' Creative team for the last three years (like, "pinch me, is this for real?" lucky!) and I'm pretty much in that same frame of mind to be joining the team here at Studio Calico. Thank you all so much for having me! I can't wait to get started and I hope you find a little inspiration in what I have to share.

I love mixing and matching different sizes and designs in my Project Life® album :) For the spread below, I used the 9" x 12" 1B and 3B designs, along with the August "Let's Go" Documenter Kit. My "Gypsy Moon" Kit is on its way, so in the meantime, I've used the digital paper to fussy cut those awesome fall leaves and a digital stamp from the Starlight Fall Favorites set to add just a little custom touch.

Stephanie Howell

Hi, I'm Stephanie—a fast-talking, multitasking, list making, book devouring, military spouse and mom to five little girls (age range toddler to tween). I currently live in Northern Virginia but have lived everywhere from Savannah to Newport, RI to Vicenza, Italy (my heart is still there!). I love my crazy and chaotic life—my mantra is "Bloom Where You're Planted." You can usually find me chasing after little girls, securing ponytails while tripping over Barbie shoes, and yelling "GET IN THE CAR, FOR THE LOVE!" When I'm not in mom mode, you can find me hiding in my craft room (with either prosecco or espresso), memory keeping or making my planner pretty.

I'm so excited to be back at Studio Calico as a CT member and the Planner Coordinator. I look forward to forming a fun and supportive community on SC's new planner IG, and I have BIG hopes and so many fun ideas! Thanks for welcoming me back—it's an honor and a joy.

The adorable "Gypsy Moon" Planner Kit was perfect for my October to-do lists. I stamped the headings, added a touch of washi, and then used the checklist stickers for my lists. I LOVE the clear stickers. I'm not a huge stamper and I love having the look of stamping without actually doing the work. I also added some of the amazing leaves from the Documenter Kit. I need about ten more sets! I'm so happy with the way this turned out. I'm hoping that having a super cute to-do list will get me motivated!

We are also so sad to say goodbye to one of our favorite Creative Team members, Jen Chapin. Jen and her family are building a new home and Jen will be without a craft room for the next few months, but we look forward to seeing more from Jen in the new year once she gets settled.

We'll miss you and your inspiration, Jen!
