Sunday Sketch | Kelly Noel

This week our scrapbook sketch is a 12" x 12" layout featuring a grid design of embellishments in vertical columns, with a horizontal photo, journaling, and title in the lower left-hand corner of the page. Our card sketch has a wide strip of patterned paper at the top with a textured divider down the middle horizontally and a title in the lower right-hand corner. And our pocket page sketch features a 3" x 4" card with a tabbed, circle punched paper over a photo allowing the photo to peek through and a 3" x 4" card with heavy journaling. Hello, SC friends! I loved this week's sketches and there were so many ways to interpret them. I ultimately decided on using Lisa's card sketch. I loved the simple design and knew it would translate well on my layout.

I stuck to the sketch almost exactly with the two strips of patterned paper at the top of my layout and the title/sentiment just underneath on the right-hand side. I simply added a photo to the left side of my title and added a few embellishments to the white space in the photo.

To finish off the page, I added some journaling to the bottom of the page, right in the center. I love the way this page turned out and it took no time at all since I had a great sketch to guide me. I can't wait to see what you do with this week's sketches!
