TN Ideas | Candyland

Memory keeping in Traveler's Notebooks is a great way to document the details of your everyday. The following TN ideas are perfect for pairing with this month's "Candyland" Kits or just tuck them into your back pocket for a time when your creative mojo is low. Either way, we hope they’ll help inspire your next project!

Let your spread shine with gold-foiled elements.

Marcy Penner featured this month's gold-foiled specialty paper as a full page on the left side of her TN spread, XO! The shimmery letters are the perfect contrast to the right side of her project which features a horizontal photo and some journaling.

Catherine Davis cut up the words "LOVE" from a foiled Documenter card to feature on her project, Love x 4. They pair perfectly with the large heart sequins she scattered over her full-page photo!

Get creative with a stamped title.

On her monthly project, March 2017Lisa Truesdell used the monthly series stamp set to stamp "Mar" along the left side of her spread creating a fun and dynamic title! We love the visual interest she created by stamping several outlines of the word and one filled-in version.

Marcy Penner created the title of her project, Today, with the Fill In stamp set. The possibilities and title combinations are endless with this set—and it's the perfect size for a TN page!

Create your own DIY embellishments.

Barbara Picinich created her own dynamic, layered paper heart embellishments for her project, Hey Nineteen. By using a combination of patterned paper, stamped paper, and pictures, she was able to add a ton of texture to her TN spread!

Feature your stamps as the main element on a spread.

April Foster used the house stamp from the Welcome Home stamp subscription set to create a rainbow border along the bottom of her spread, Little Moments. This bold accent perfectly balances her simple photo and title.

Marie Lottermoser utilized several stamps from the Good Job stamp set to design the right side of her TN spread, Believe in Yourself. Each stamp works together perfectly to help Marie tell the story of her project!

Create clusters around your photo.

Maggie Massey combined elements from the Lolly Add-on Kit to frame and draw attention to her photo on her project NYE '17. Her combination of embellishments pull the two pages of her spread together perfectly!

On her project, You + Me = UsBarbara Picinich layered patterned papers, a heart-shaped paper clip, and a chipboard banner around her photo. These elements work together to highlight her photo against her gorgeous stamped background.

The possibilities in your Traveler's Notebook are endless with the "Candyland" Kits and February add-ons. Which TN idea do you plan on trying out this month? Post your creations in the gallery and add a link in the comments. We can't wait to see what you'll make!
