Using the Candyland Kits with Catherine Davis

Tags:

Hello there! Today I'm sharing a layout I made using stamps as a background. I love the pop of color they add to a white base. The pattern maker stamps are absolutely perfect for this since they cover a lot of area.

Using the little squares pattern maker design, I added bands of colors with Color Theory pigment inks (my absolute favorite!). I wanted to use warm, complementary colors to give the page a feminine touch. I was sure to stamp randomly and overlap here are there. I love how the little blocks in the stamp almost mimic the pattern I made.

I cut out phrases from a "Candyland" Scrapbook Kit paper and sprinkled them around the page. I usually try to fold up edges of shapes that I cut out of patterned paper to give the page a bit of dimension. I also used phrase stickers from the "Candyland" Documenter Kit to add sentiment and bring in that peachy color.

One more item of note: don't be afraid to mix color and black and white images like I did here. Everything matches black and white, so go for it!

Please let me know if you have any questions about this project or anything crafty really. Comment below and I'll try to help!
