Video | Using the Good Job Stamp Set with Lisa Truesdell

Tags:

Hey all! Lisa Truesdell here, popping in to share a quick Traveler’s Notebook spread. I love using stamps in my notebooks—they’re such a fun way to add color and interest. For this project, I’m working with the Good Job set by Life.Love.Paper. The ribbon and mix of positive sentiments made it a perfect match for a trio of photos from last summer’s swim meets. As all you swim parents out there know, it can be hard to get a decent photo from a meet unless you’re down on the deck! Since I have a collection of subpar photos, I thought it would be fun to take three that basically sum up everything summer swim team: practicing, waiting, and racing.

Check out my video to see how this spread came together.

Tips & Tricks:

  • Laying your stamps out on your notebook to is a great way to get a sense of how the finished stamping will look and guide your final placement.
  • Try stamping on patterned paper! Mix it up by stamping on different papers, then cutting elements out and layering them together.
  • If your first idea doesn’t work, don’t be afraid to change it up! Adding a tag under my stamped ribbon helps to show it off. It would have been lost on the stamped background if I’d just gone ahead with my first plan.

I hope you’ll give stamping on patterned paper a try. Tag me if you do!
