TN Ideas | Bookmarked

Memory keeping in Traveler's Notebooks is a great way to document the details of your everyday. The following TN ideas are perfect for pairing with this month's "Bookmarked" Kits or just tuck them into your back pocket for a time when your creative mojo is low. Either way, we hope they’ll help inspire your next project!

Fill a frame.

Barbara Picinich used the "Bookmarked" Stamp Subscription Set, Routinely, to stamp a frame for the photo and journaling on her spread, Hello Spring. This simple technique ensures her focal points jump off the page!

On her project, CreativationApril Foster used the same stamp set as Barbara to create framed pops of color opposite her black and white photo. This fun design also created spaces for her journaling!

Stamp a background.

Marie Lottermoser stamped a variety of flowers and a border of the word "spring" on the right page of her spread, Flowers. This one-of-a-kind background is the perfect backdrop for her photo!

On her spread, Hello SpringLisa Truesdell stamped two opposing backgrounds—one filled with sunshine and one filled with clouds! Not only do these backgrounds add fun patterns and color to her pages, they also help tell her story of the ups and downs of the changing seasons.

Stretch a photo across two pages.

On her spread, Chestnut MountainMaggie Maggie cut her horizontal photo and adhered it across both pages of her notebook. This fun technique adds visual interest and a unique design to her project!

Incorporate Documenter cards.

Marie Lottermoser used 4" x 6" patterned cards from the "Pen Name" Add-On Kit to back her photos and other elements on her spread, Sushi. She offset the cards from each other and chose coordinating colors to bring balance and interest to her design!

Use lots of photos.

Marcy Penner was able to include eight photos on her TN spread, Hello Spring! By creating a grid-design collage and a variety of photo subjects and angles, she was able to create a well-balanced overview of her month.

On her spread, February Watch ListBarbara Picinich utilized the TV frame stamp from the TV stamp set to house multiple photos on the right side of her notebook. This technique created a fun representation of her current favorite shows!

The possibilities in your Traveler's Notebook are endless with the "Bookmarked" Kits and March add-ons. Which TN idea do you plan on trying out this month? Post your creations in the gallery and add a link in the comments. We can't wait to see what you'll make!
