TN Ideas | Hey Girl

Memory keeping in Traveler's Notebooks is a great way to document the details of your everyday. The following TN ideas are perfect for pairing with this month's "Hey Girl" Kits or just tuck them into your back pocket for a time when your creative mojo is low. Either way, we hope they’ll help inspire your next project!

Feature large numbers.

Lisa Truesdell featured one of the large vellum numbers from this month's Scrapbook Kit to tell more of her story on her spread, Always Watching. These simple elements create a big impact on the page!

In her notebook, Grand CanyonApril Foster used the large vellum numbers to number each spread featuring a different memory from her family vacation. This fun technique provided consistency throughout her notebook while adding a gorgeous design element to each page. Follow the link to see each one!

Repeat stamps.

On her project, Hello HollywoodBarbara Picinich used repeated stamping to tie into her story about her visit to Hollywood. We love how she combined the red and yellow with stamping on top of vellum to create the Walk of Fame stars.

Catherine Davis put a fun twist on repeated stamping on her spread, Nashville. To create this awesome effect, she used several different Color Theory pigment ink colors on one stamp to create an ombre. The result is stunning!

Make a grid.

On her project, Fun With FiltersMaggie Massey highlighted her fun photos by featuring them in a grid. We love this technique for including more photos in a smaller format.

Marcy Penner created a loose grid of patterned papers and a tag to accompany her photo on her spread, Always in My Heart. This horizontal stack technique is a great way to incorporate more patterns from your kit on one spread!

Include a patterned paper page.

Lisa Truesdell created a great base for her large photo with patterned paper on her spread, Portland. We love the subtle texture and color it brings to her project!

On her project, Green Hair Don't CareCatherine Davis featured a stunning black and white girl-profile patterned paper to tie into her story. We love the result!

Go bold with color.

On her spread, Book ClubMarie Lottermoser chose Color Theory Inks in "Clear Blue," "Flamingo," and "Emerald City" to add bright pops of color to her page. We love the stark contrast between her bold colors and the crisp, white page of her notebook!

Barbara Picinich created a custom background of bright flowers on her spread, Oh Yes Bubbles. Using Color Theory inks "Flamingo," "Lime Light," "Orange County," and "Sunny Day," she created a bold impact on her page!

The possibilities in your Traveler's Notebook are endless with the "Hey Girl" Kits and May add-ons. Which TN idea do you plan on trying out this month? Post your creations in the gallery and add a link in the comments. We can't wait to see what you'll make!
