We're thrilled to have the lovely and talented Jen Schow as one of our guest designers this month and are excited to get to know her better today! Be sure to follow Jen here at Studio Calico.

I’m Jen Schow (also known as Crafty Jen Schow), and I've been scrapbooking since I was 12 and bullied my best friend into the hobby! I'm passionate about telling important stories, cutting up pretty paper, and putting stickers on stuff. My 12-year-old daughter, husband, best friend, and travels are my favorite things to document and 12" x 12" layouts are my jam. I’m inspired by the seemingly small moments that make up the stories of our lives.

Payson Lakes – This layout uses the main kit only and is about a little local adventure that my bestie and I went on one Friday afternoon. I love that this kit can be used for outdoor photos and travel photos and the colors are perfect!

City Fun – This is the second layout I created and I didn’t actually use any patterned paper! I wanted to focus on the tickets from the main kit and the 3" x 4" stamp set that is a bit more travel based. The chipboard letters were perfect for my title!

I Have Learned – I knew immediately when I saw this patterned paper with the quote that I wanted to cut around it and use it as a strip across a layout layered on top of a photo. This photo of my friend in Jamaica was perfect and I love how she kind of nestles into the space next to the L. I kept the embellishment simple with a few of the chipboard stickers and I cut the color scheme from the info card that comes in the kit for a bit of a pop.
