Guest Designer | Nathalie Leonelli

We're thrilled to have the lovely and talented Nathalie Leonelli as one of our guest designers this month and are excited to get to know her better today! Be sure to follow Nathalie here at Studio Calico.

Hi! I’m Nathalie, originally from France, and I now live in California with my husband and our two boys. What started simply as an intention to get my wedding photos out of shoeboxes 20 years ago has rapidly turned into an everyday obsession. I love to be immersed in the creative process, to look at others for inspiration, and to be part of the amazing crafty community (especially on Instagram). Even though it has progressed through time, I describe my style as mostly graphic with a special attention to color. I started with 12" x 12" layouts but three years ago switched to pocket scrapbooking and traveler's notebooks and I haven't looked back. I will also occasionally make cards, mini albums, and other fun creative projects.

I currently design for Doodlebug Designs and Elle's Studio. When I'm not scrapbooking, I'm on Instagram or blogging.

I enjoyed playing with the "Holland Park" Documenter Kit this month and created two 6" x 12" spreads with it (it's my favorite format for my everyday albums).

November 6x12 Pocket Pages

The colors and gold foil accents in the kit are perfect for this time of year. For my first project, I enjoyed selecting cards that gave warmth to my spread. The cork month added the perfect texture and went great with my outdoor photos while the stamp set inspired me to create a "currently" list.

6x12 Pocket Pages: Doing What Makes Us Happy

I love the colorful scallop cards in the kit and used both to start my second spread. My next favorite was the quote card which I embellished with hand stitches. I played with a bit of layering as well and like the fun feel of this "ordinary moments" spread.

Many thanks to Studio Calico for having me as a guest designer this month!
