I used only papers and embellishments from the “Spencer’s” Main Scrapbook Kit for this page. To make the big speech bubble, I laid out repeating rows of the lovely chevron washi tape onto transparency film. (I used transparency film rather than white cardstock because I wanted that fantastic SC blue alpha paper to show through the chevron design.) Then I used the speech bubble shape from Catherine’s layered quote template in the digital shop, traced it with my Cameo software, enlarged the shape, then cut it out. The negative space lettering was a happy accident. I originally intended to use the letters themselves, but they got kind of lost in the chevron pattern when I tried it. I tossed the sheet of paper with the negative space of the words down on my desk, and actually liked the way it looked. So there you go. I colored over the darling wood grain stars with a black sharpie (*gasp!*) because, though I loved them, I needed more black to balance out the dark tones of the photo. Note the little "hashtag-dork" on the photo. Sums up my husband in one phrase.
