Shipping

Shipping has been a popular topic of discussion over the past few years, and we know that shipping costs and service levels are at the forefront of your mind when deciding to purchase our products. We have worked tirelessly to bring you a new “3-option” shipping policy. This will allow you to determine the speed with which your package is shipped and flexibility of service or carrier. As a side note, Rewards orders will continue to be shipped prior to all other orders. These shipping options do not pertain to the order in which boxes are packed & shipped, simply the speed of the shipping method once it leaves our facility.

This shipping model considers the shipping destination, the weight of your items, and if you are a subscriber placing a bundled order. These factors are used to create a shipping price tailored to your order. Smaller and lighter weight orders will incur less shipping than heavier items. All three shipping charges are calculated and available to see in your cart before checking out. Some orders will incur a very small or potentially no fee to upgrade from Economy so make sure to check before finalizing your order.

Domestic Customers

Domestic customers within the United States will have a choice of three different service levels…Economy, Upgraded and Expedited. However, please note that if you use a PO Box as your shipping address, the only option available to you will be Economy. Only the USPS or UPS Surepost can deliver to PO Boxes.

Economy-This is the least expensive option and slowest service. Your approximate time in transit is typically 7-9 days although it may be sooner depending on the distance to our facility in KY. Your order will ship one of three ways which will be dependent on the weight of your order. The lightest packages will ship UPS Mail Innovations or USPS First Class. Slightly heavier packages will ship by UPS SurePost. The heaviest packages will be shipped using UPS Ground. Your order may arrive by Postal Carrier or UPS depending on the weight of your order. If you are or have been a Studio Calico Subscriber, this is the service level that you are most used to.

*Upgraded-This option is more expensive than the Economy level but guarantees that your package will ship UPS Ground regardless of the weight of your shipment. Your approximate time in transit is 3-5 days.This is a more expensive option but gives you reliable tracking and a delivery date. Additionally, subscribers on bundled orders will receive a discount off of this service for their bundled order shipment.

*Expedited-This premium option is the most expensive but provides you with UPS 2nd Day Air service. No matter where you are in the United States you will receive your order 2 business days after it ships.

Customers may add to their subscription order during the bundling period for no additional shipping fee. We will continue to offer free shipping for all orders of $79 anytime during the month. Free shipping applies to Economy shipping only.

Note on UPS Mail Innovations: If you selected Economy shipping and your package is sent via UPS Mail Innovations, UPS delivers your order to your local post office, and a USPS mail carrier will bring it to your mailbox or address. Please note, sometimes there is a delay between when your order is shipped and when it appears in the UPS tracking system. **Special Note for customers with an APO/FPO address: We must send your package through a service that works in conjunction with the USPS. You will not be charged an international handling fee. However, we are only able to offer one set of shipping rates. The shipping service works exactly like the Domestic Economy service described above with the exception that we are unable to ship via UPS Ground. We are able to ship via UPS Mail Innovations or UPS SurePost as these work in conjunction with the USPS.

Canadian Customers

Canadian customers will have 3 options to choose from... Economy, Upgraded and Expedited


Economy-This is the least expensive option and slowest service. Your order will ship one of three ways which will be dependent on the weight of your order. The service levels are UPS Mail Innovations, USPS First Class International and UPS ground.The lightest packages will ship UPS Mail Innovations or USPS First Class. The heaviest packages will be shipped using UPS Ground. Your order may arrive by Postal Carrier or UPS depending on the weight of your order. If you are or have been a Canadian Studio Calico Subscriber, this is the service level that you are most used to.

*Upgraded-This option is more expensive than the Economy level but guarantees that your package will ship UPS Ground regardless of the weight of your shipment. This is a more expensive option but gives you reliable tracking and a delivery date.

*Expedited-This premium option is the most expensive but provides you with UPS Worldwide Expedited service. No matter where you are in Canada you will receive your package within 2 business days.

Canadian customers will be charged a $3 handling fee for each subscription kit in your order but will no longer be charged a 3.9% handling fee which was formerly charged on the selling price of your order.

Canadian customers are eligible for free shipping during and outside the bundling period for any orders that meet or exceed $99. Free shipping applies to Economy shipping only.

International Customers

International Customers will have 3 options to choose from... Economy, Upgraded and Expedited


Economy-This is the least expensive option and slowest service. This service is primarily UPS Mail Innovations. However, at some weights it becomes more economical to send your package UPS Worldwide Expedited. You will not being charged more if your package happens to go UPS WWE and you have chosen the Economy option. It just happens that this is the most economical way to send your package.

* Upgraded-This option is more expensive than Economy level. This service is primarily USPS First Class Package International Service. We recognize that each country's postal system is unique and some of our customers prefer their postal system. However, as is mentioned above, at some weights it becomes more economical to send your package UPS Worldwide Expedited. You are not being charged more if your package happens is sent via UPS WWE and chose the Upgraded option. It just happens that this is the most economical way to send your package.

* Expedited- This premium option is the most expensive but provides you with guaranteed UPS Worldwide Express service. Delivery and transit times will vary depending on location. UPS states the following transit times on their website:

-Mexico = 2-3 Business Days

-Europe = 3-4 Business Days

-Australia, Asia and Latin America = 4-6 Business Days

Other frequently asked questions in regards to shipping.

Q: Will we still be allowed to bundle and how does bundling work?

A: Yes! Bundling is not going away for anyone. If the price of your order is greater than $99 for Canadian customers, you will not be charged a shipping fee for Economy service. The total for free shipping is taken after discounts. Digital items, classes, gift certificates, and service fees do not apply to the shipping total. Items advertised with free shipping, such as Preview Items and other special items will not apply to the free shipping threshold. Domestic subscribers may take advantage of free shipping outside of the bundling period by hitting the $79 threshold but will no longer need to during the bundling period. All domestic bundled orders will ship for free using the Economy service. International orders are not eligible for free shipping.

Q: When is the bundling period?

A: Bundling begins at 12am on the 1st of each month and ends at 11:59pm on the 5th of each month.

Q: If I hit the free shipping threshold, may I switch to Upgraded or Expedited shipping? How much will this cost?

A: Yes, you may switch and the charge will be dependent upon the weight of your items and whether it is a bundled order or not.

Q: How do I choose my shipping preference?

A: You may choose your preference on your profile page for all future orders, or you may select your preference at checkout which will apply only to that order or will apply to your entire subscription order.

Q: How are shipping costs calculated and how do I know how much I am being charged?

A: Shipping costs and methods will be calculated by the weight of your order, your shipping location and the level of service you have chosen. As the weight of your order increases, so may the cost of shipping.You will be able to see your shipping charge throughout the checkout process and will be able to remove and add items accordingly.

Q: Can I downgrade/upgrade my shipping after I have placed my order?

A: Subscription orders placed during the bundling period will not finalize the shipping charge until the end of the bundling period. You may change your shipping as often as you like during this period; however the shipping preference indicated on the subscription order at the close of the bundling period will be charged and sent via the appropriate method. All other orders are not eligible for either an upgrade or a downgrade after the order is completed.

Q: Can I split my preference on my bundled subscription order?

A: No. Your preference will be applied to the entire bundled subscription order.
