Sunday Sketch | Lisa Truesdell

This week, our scrapbook sketch is a 12" x 12" layout with punched patterned papers and alphabet stickers filling the background. Our card sketch features a watercolor stamped background and a stamped sentiment on white cardstock, and our pocket page sketch includes journaling on an embellished 3" x 4" card and a lightly embellished 4" x 6" photo. Creative Team member Lisa Truesdell is joining us this week and sharing her take on the week's scrapbook sketch! When I saw the scrapbook sketch, I immediately thought of this month's stamp subscription set - Story Builder. I wanted to try scattering circles on my background, similar to how Paige used the speech bubbles on her page. I started with a photo of the fabulous light up hippo that we recently purchased (I know, he's a little ridiculous, but he makes us happy!) & set out to create a spread in the Christmas memories notebook I've been making for the Keystone Cabin workshop. I stamped circles randomly across my background, and then started filling them in with vellum stars, word stickers, punched patterned paper and more stamping (I used the Pattern Builder 3). The end result is a playful notebook spread that's perfect for showcasing a holiday hippo.
