weekly challenge | Lisa Spangler and Paige Evans

You there! Yes, we are looking at YOU! Paige and I want you to join this week's challenge. We think it's a fun one: making water color drips. They are so popular right now, and the watercolor set that comes in the Valley High card kit is perfect for this.

Paige dropped a rainbow of colors across the top of her card, letting the paint drip down. Love how cheery and colorful it is, don't you? Here's how she did it :

Supplies: Valley High card kit (sentiment and Prang watercolors), watercolor paper (craft supply), Ink: StazOn

I was inspired by her card to do a little something different -- I made my drips in the same way, but I adhered the finished piece to my card upside-down so that they would look like they made the squares of color in the Corey add-on kit.

I started out by mixing the yellow + orange paints together to try and match the shades of the paper. Then I stamped my message, added some sequins and wooden asterisks and that was that!

Supplies: Valley High card kit (sentiment and Prang watercolors), Corey add-on kit (patterned paper, sequins, and asterisks), watercolor paper (craft supply), Ink: Versafine Onyx Black

I just have to share one little tip before I go, and that's to be sure to use a big brush with lots of color. The first time I tried this card I used a smaller brush than the one that comes in the kit, and my drips weren't very drippy lol. :)
