Craft Dies | Stephanie Washburn

I LOVE a versatile tool. When I can buy a product and make a ton of different products with it, my heart skips a beat.... I had this fluttery feeling when I saw the Craft Dies that match the stamps from the Antiquary Card Kit and the Athens Card Add-on! Today I'm going to share with you three different ways to use these Craft Dies!

First, I'd love to share a card I made featuring the negative space that dies can leave behind! I love to create fun background patterns and accents and this is a great way to do it. Simply cut a bunch of shapes out of a piece of cardstock with the Craft Dies (I used Harvest Moon Craft Dies that coordinate with the Antiquary Card Kit), and layer different patterns behind the negative spaces! This creates a fun background for your cards that is super simple, but makes a big impact!

Another fun way to use the dies is to create monochromatic accents. On this card, I cut a bunch of leaf shapes out of kraft cardstock using the Harvest Moon Craft Dies. I knew I wanted them to stand out on the card, so I quickly inked up the edges with Walnut Stain Distress Ink. I adhered the leaves randomly over another sheet of kraft cardstock to create a fun background accent! LOVE the way it turned out!

On this card, I used the Athens Card Add-on stamps and the Boxwood Garden Craft Dies in two ways. First, I cut the frame shape out of the kraft cardstock. I stamped the frame and sentiment inside the negative space on the card front. Then, I stamped, colored, and die cut the leaf and flower images! It is so much easier and faster to die cut these images then try to hand cut them with scissors! are

I can't wait to see how you guys use these new Craft Dies! They are an amazing addition to the SC lineup!
