December Daily™ | Leena Loh & Catherine Davis

Have you started building your December Daily album? Our Creative Team is beginning to do some planning and prep to make documenting all of their holiday memories as simple as possible. Here's a peek at what they're working on :

Leena Loh :

I’ve organized my December Daily kit last week into my wooden drawer, which was originally used for my PL stuff. It’s a perfect drawer to store all the cards, stickers, wood veneer and other bits and pieces of embellishments. I’m also using a small wire basket I got from my local store to store some washi tapes that I pulled out from my own collection. I picked out colors such as gold, red, green and grey to coordinate with the overall theme. I’m just setting them aside in case I need to use them on my pages. For smaller items such as the confetti, brads, clips, badges and sequins, I arranged them in my flower shape watercolor palette I bought from my local art store

Instead of painting my cover, I covered my handbook with Studio Calico Storytime Darling, on the front and back, adhered it with Glossy Accents on the four edges of the cover. Trim off the balance of the transparency with a blade. Next, I adhered the “25″ wood veneer onto the transparency. Thereafter, I attached the “twenty thirteen chipboard” from Thickers onto the wood veneer. Then I added a few gold enamel dots randomly on the wood veneer. For the word “days”, I embossed it with Silver Zing Glitter embossing powder and adhered the words onto the side of the “25″ wood veneer. And my cover is done! The cover has a mixed of red, raw chipboard grey, wood veneer, a touch of silver glitter, a little of gold and white stars on the clear acetate/transparency. I’ve achieved the look that I wanted with neutral and balance of colors.

Catherine Davis :

I'm just starting to sort through my box and tinkering with foundation pages. When I say tinkering, I mean casually playing with elements while watching tv! I want this to be as stress-free and easy going as possible, so I'm really not planning much. Just taking ideas as they come with the hopes that I'll have a good amount of the album together before December 1st so I'll only be focusing on documentation. I'm having fun so far!

How much have you completed in your December Daily? We'd love to see your base pages in the gallery or on instagram - tag them with #decdaily!
