Video | Using the Be Happy Documenter Kit + Digitals with Pam Baldwin

Hi, friends! This is Pam here, sharing a new spread for my Documenter album created with this month's "Be Happy" Documenter Kit and the 6x8 digital version of the "Be Happy" stamp subscription. I recently had the pleasure of celebrating my best friend's bridal shower! For special occasions like this, I love being able to create an entire spread in honor of the event. And coincidentally, all of the rain-themed elements this month were perfect to document her "shower." :)

Special occasions also deserve extra special touches, so for this spread, I've added some hand stitching with the help of a digital stamp. Check out the video below for the "how-to" and my complete process for bringing this spread together.

A few takeaways from this month's digital/hybrid project:

  • Those awesome digital stamp designs make fantastic templates for getting a bit crafty with some hand stitching! Script style word art is often a favorite of mine, but I would LOVE to see someone attempt this technique with one of the flowery frames from this month's stamp set. Adjust the opacity of your design as needed before printing. And consider using this same technique to add some stitching directly onto a photo!
  • I'm always a fan of big photos, and I love them even more when they're paired with other pocket page designs. Consider mixing in some different styles/designs of page protectors in your album for some added visual interest or to highlight a favorite photo in a big way.
  • Not rainy season where you are? Think outside the box for other ways to use some of the themed cards. (Side note: when I told my 4-year-old daughter I was going to a bridal shower, she asked if I was going to get wet. Another funny little story that I'd definitely like to add to my album and a great fit for more of those raindrop themed cards. Love them!).

Thank you so much for stopping by today, friends. As always, if there's anything in particular you'd like to see or learn about working with digital products, please leave a comment below! Have a wonderful day :)
