I love layering. I'm pretty certain in practically every layout I do there is some kind of layering involved Not only can it bump up the interesting factor of a project, it can be a great way to use up pieces of die cuts or extra bits you have in your kit. On this layout, it starts with patterned paper, a layer of vellum, silhouette cut hearts, more patterned paper with typed journaling, a tag, another silhouette cut, the photos and then a mini title stapled on. Add in the digital elements stitched across the top and the sequin stapled snowflakes and it is a very layered layout indeed. So the challenge: layer it up! Don't forget watercolors, paint and mists can make for a great "flat" layer too.
