#SCCROP14 | the tunes

Let's get those energy levels up! While you wait for the challenges and Q&As to start, we've put together a Spotify playlist. So crank up the music, start cleaning off your desk and finishing up those real life to dos, and we'll meet back here at 5pm EST for the first challenge!

CHA Online Crop Extravaganza Playlist

We asked some of our new Creative Team Members to add their favorite songs to craft to into the mix - here's what they chose :

Lexi Bridges – Open Ended Life by The Avett Brothers – “I could listen to them 24/7, but I'm currently digging this song & sound because I am a gypsy at heart and love the folksy vibe. It's a fun little number to scrap to. How can you not love a harmonica & banjo combo?”

Maggie Massey – Royals by Lorde – “It’s just so upbeat and bouncy and fun, without being too cute… it just makes be happy…J “

Paige Evans – How Do I get There by Deana Carter – “Even though this song is 19 years old I still really love listening to it and the entire "Did I Shave My Legs for This" album! It gets me singing out loud which boosts my creative energy!”

Natalie Elphinstone – Tightrope by Janelle Monae ft Big Boi – “It’s upbeat and funky, giving me energy to stand and bog a little while I scrap J And there’s something about the flowing honesty of its lyrics that inspires me to want to pour my heart out in journaling”

Melanie Louette – Give Up by Half Moon Run – The whole album is fantastic! I love this song because of the harmony, the catchy beat and the guitar. It’s what I call REAL music! Also, they are a local band from Montreal, so I’m happy to five them so much deserved promotion.

Barbara Picinich – Pompeii by Bastille - I'm a true 80's girl thru and thru and this song has a definite 80's vibe. Anything high energy like this helps get me in the mood to create and keeps my energy up while I'm working.

Chari Moss – Royals by Lorde - I think its a great song and I like to sing along with it, not a really good reason but I don't really have one past I think it's awesome. OR Everything by Michael Buble - his was the song me and my husband danced to at our wedding so when it comes up on my playlist it makes me happy and I will sometimes play it twice.

Lory Bucaria – Everything Has Changed by Taylor Swift – I love the lyrics!

Lilin Fang – Everything in its time by Corrinne May – I like to scrap to this song because of its soothing melody and inspiring lyrics!

Stephanie Baxter - Counting Stars by One Republic - This is one of my favourite songs from 2013 and I like to have something to listen to that matches my up tempo mood that I'm usually in when I sit down to work on a spread! Something with a good beat while I'm playing with pretty paper and my photos just makes me so happy!

Carissa Wiley – Counting Stars by One Republic - I love this song! It's upbeat and smooth without being too heavy. And I love the part where the singer goes up and octave on the chorus. My kids and I love to sing this song at the top of our lungs and it's the perfect groove for a day in the craft room.

This eclectic playlist was put together with help from our Creative Team, production assistants and office staff. It does not represent the views & musical taste of Studio Calico, but we hope you’ll find it inspires a lot of crafting. And maybe a little dancing. ;)

Okay, just on the first song. I think I may learn some new music for sure. I am stuck in the 70's and 80's! LOL

@kimberlyatlga - you'll find some songs from the 70's and 80's further down on the playlist too! :)

Make sure and check out "Fools" by the Reneaus. One of our production associates is the drummer for that band!

Listening to this playlist and painting on some paper right now. Is it weird that Dream a little dream always makes me think of Muppets? :)
