LOTW | Tara

Our Layout of the Week, NYC Bound, comes from our member Tara (username TaraElias). Tara's work is stunning and is a regular in our community. We love seeing her work pop up in the gallery. To keep up with Tara and see more of her work, be sure to follow her here at SC and check out her blog!

I used the first sketch in KP's sketchbook class as inspiration for this layout, and definitely knew I wanted to use my newly-arrived Camelot kit :) The Tic-Tac-Toe Dear Lizzy paper was perfect to document my upcoming trip to NYC, and I loved how I was able to document the different sites we wanted to see using the enamel dots. I am partial to typed journaling on my layouts, and since I didn't want to use the whole piece of patterned paper as my background, I decided to use my journaling as part of my background. This achieved a bit of a "busy" look, and given it's about NY, I thought that was appropriate! :) I cut the image of the buildings out of one of the journaling cards and was really happy to be able to use that on the layout. This picture was taken from the last time I was in New York, but I thought it was appropriate to document the hustle and bustle of what I am hoping to experience again. Thanks so much for selecting my layout!
