Farewell to an Industry Pioneer
Tags:2 Peas and owner Kristina Nicolai-White have been instrumental to my life both personally and professionally. Without her influence I may have never become so involved in the scrapbooking industry or started Studio Calico 7 years ago. At the time, I was a traveling professional with no kids and there were few supplies locally that suited my needs as a papercrafter. Enter 2peas, a fascinating online company with a welcoming community providing quality products and galleries upon galleries of inspiration. It was through them I formed early friendships in the industry, learned the difference between pigment and dye inks, and how to set an eyelet.
While I am sad to see a wonderful business exit the industry, I am confident the contribution 2peas made as an early trendsetting company, has set the stage for memory keepers to build on their knowledge and excitement for pretty paper. Documenting our memories is an art, a lifestyle, and most importantly how we capture our lives. I am thankful for Kristina’s eye for design and the countless stickers and papers she curated for us over the years as well as the community she provided that allowed us to share our passion.
What we will all remember is the art, the friendships, and the memories that we captured through 2peas’ products and services.

I just open the 2 Peas page and got to know the news. I am so... orphan. I don't know how to describe what I am feeling. I discover scrapbooking recently and 2Peas was the place where I have run back the most to look for ideas and to learn tips and tricks from the more experienced crafters. I don't know how to describe what I am feeling. its more than sad. Its like someone I knew has died. I fell awful.

This is a great loss. Two Peas was my favorite online store. Sad to see them go and so sad that the classes I purchased will go too.

So sad to see them close. It definitely feels like the end of an era. They've been such a huge force in this industry.

Thanks for your beautiful words. It is the end of something, but hopefully it will be the start of something new too. After all, every knew beginning comes from some other beginning's end. Here is to new beginnings.

I'm especially sad for the owners, staff and Garden Girls from 2Peas. It must be really painful for them considering how sad we all are!

I'm so sad about this. Unexpectedly so. Checking in with that community for scrapping inspiration or just general life stuff on the NSBR board has been a part of my world for 10 years. It's a loss...

Beautiful accolade. Two Peas were instrumental in "enhancing" my scrapping supplies - I have lost count of boxes filled with goodies that arrived with alarming frequency. LOVEd their galleries. With much gratitude to all - THANK YOU!

2Peas has been set as my homepage on all the computers in my house for the last 3 years. I check it daily (obviously). This news was definitely shocking but at the same time, signs were pointing to this. It seems so strange to hear this from a industry leader that seems to be prosperous and ahead of competitors. However, the prices of this hobby have become so inflated that it's hard for some if us to even afford it.

I really enjoy when one company - competition or collaborator - acknowledge the work of another. Thanks for sharing this, April.

So saddened to hear it also- it has been a site I have visited daily for almost 14 years. I will be ever grateful for the memories I take and the numerous things that I have learned because of two peas.
