Weekly Challenge | Color with Cari

This week, our member Cari (username cariilup), is challenging you to pick three colors from your photo and use them on your layout. We love our talented members! Check back each week as we ask one of our members to inspire you with a challenge based on one of their projects from our member gallery. Be sure to follow Cari here at SC to see more of her work and keep up with her!

Hello everyone, I'm so happy to be with you for this week's Weekly Challenge. I made this layout following the advices from On The Grid classroom and a photo from my 27 birthday party. Something that works really well for me at the moment of chosing papers is to look for papers that match the colors in my photo. For this layout I choose pink, blue, and gold, because of my clothes, the night sky and the balloons, I feel when you match photo+papers, your project look a lot more unified. For that reason, my challenge for you this week is to chose three colors in your photo and make a project based on them. I can't wait to see what you came up with!

Now it’s your turn to create a project based on Cari's challenge! Share your new project for the challenge in the SC gallery (add the hashtag #SCchallenge to make it easier to find!), then link up your project in the comments of this post by February 23rd and to be entered to win a $5 gift card to the Studio Calico Shop! This week's challenge winner will be announced in the February 27th Layout of the Week post.

Thanks for the challenge! I used the colors from the top right photo to inspire the colors for this spread. The yellow, and black pajamas of my younger daughter, and the pink sweatshirt of my older daughter were the 3 colors I used.
