Sunday Sketch | Allison Waken

Tags:

This week, our layout sketch is 12x12 layout with a fun layering of photos and pretty embellishments! Our card sketch features a patterned paper background with lovely layers and our Project Life sketch uses a small square photo and a text heavy journaling card. Creative Team member, Allison Waken, is joining us this week & sharing her take on both our scrapbook and Project Life® sketch! Be sure to follow Allison here at SC to see more of her work and keep up with her.

Our 12x12 layout sketch comes from Maggie Massey's AG layout:

Our card sketch comes from Jenn Picard's Thanks Ever So Much card:

Our Project Life sketch comes from Geralyn Sy's Project Life spread:

"I used the scrapbook page sketch to create my layout on an 8.5"x11" sheet of cardstock. The multiple photos in a row on the sketch reminded me of a photobooth strip (and I have plenty of those to scrap). I also loved the circles, but decided to make mine a little more understated in the background. A few layers pulled the simple layout together to finish. I love using leftovers from my monthly Project Life kits and add ons to create easy scrapbook pages which is exactly what I did here!"

Supplies Used: Odyssey Project Life Kit, Circe, Zeus, Odyssey Paper Pad, Tiny Attacher

Now it's your turn! Make a project using one of this week's sketches as a starting point, then share it in the Studio Calico gallery. Use the hashtag #SCsketch to make it easier for other members to find! Leave us a link to your project by April 6th in the comments here to be entered to win a $5 GC to the Studio Calico Shop. This week's sketch winner will be announced in the April 11th Layout of the Week post.
