Sunday Sketch | Geralyn Sy

This week, our Scrapbook sketch features lots of fun embellishments, our Documenter sketch uses two cards and our Card sketch features a pretty die-cut and dainty stamping. Get creative and be sure to share your projects here with us! We can't wait to see what you create! Today, Geralyn Sy shares her take on the Card sketch.

This week, our Scrapbook layout comes from Stand Out by Catherine Davis:

This week, our Documenter layout comes from Arendal Doc Kit Cover Page by Mel Blackburn:

This week, our card comes from Love You, Miss You by Carson Riutta:

I was very drawn to the design of Carson's card and used that to inspire my card! I love how she focused the details on the bottom and used a simple sentiment up to, and I followed suit. This gave me the chance to play around with the origami stamp set and create a spring-themed card.

Supplies: stamps - Origami stamp set, Nes Verk add-on; ink - Color Theory

Now it's your turn! Make a project using one of this week's sketches as a starting point, then share it in the Studio Calico gallery. Use the hashtag #SCsketch to make it easier for other members to find! Leave us a link to your project by January 18th in the comments here to be entered to win a $5 gift card to Studio Calico Shop. This week's sketch winner will be announced in the January 23rd Layout of the Week post.

Love the use of the origami stamp set. Paige has a great video using it too in the Arendal Scrapbook workshop.

Me too. I used the card sketch. I loved the way Carson used a color element on top of a black and white background.
