Crop Challenge | Journaling with Mandie

Hi, there! I've got a documenter challenge for you! I want you to use a non-journaling card for journaling. So, anything that may not be specifically designed with journaling in mind! For example, I used  the watering can from the painted veggies card set to add a bit of journaling about my succulent love.

I can't wait to see how you think outside the box! When you complete this challenge, upload it to the member gallery and leave a link to your project in the comments below. See ALL of the crop challenges here.

Every now and again I do some retro documenting and this was for my "back in the nineties" album. I documented inside of my favorite past time.. And present time too. A wine glass.

In this pocket page spread, I used a mint-colored patterned card from Roman Holiday for journaling (the one that has "yum!" flair): http://www.studiocalico.com/galleries/199897-17-things-that-make-me-happy

Thanks for the cool challenge, Mandie! Not something I would normally do, but will probably include a lot more now! I used two filler cards as journal cards...one by printing directly on the cards and the other by cutting out a square and sewing the journaling onto the card.

I did my journaling for this layout directly onto the product packaging as well as onto two tea bag strings I created with digital stamps in Photoshop(they are tucked behind the packaging in the pocket and can't see for the photo). I will try to take a photo closeup of those when I have better lighting.

I created a journaling card using a filler card and some vellum on top of it. I like to calm down some busy patterns with this technique.
