Sunday Sketch | Marie Lottermoser

This week, our scrapbook sketch is a 9" x 12" layout with an off-centered title on a grid background, embellishment throughout, and journaling in the bottom center. Our card sketch features a centered title that serves as the focal point. And our pocket page sketch features a 3" x 4" title card on a banner and a 3" x 4" photo card with sentiment. Creative Team member Marie Lottermoser is joining us this week and sharing her take on the week's scrapbooking sketch! Be sure to follow Marie here at SC to see more of her work and keep up with her.

Our scrapbook sketch comes from Nancy Damiano's Cousins layout:

Our card sketch comes from Carson Riutta's Radiate Love card:

And here's Marie's take on our scrapbook sketch:

Hi, everyone! Marie here today! So I have to confess it’s been awhile since I’ve made a scrapbook layout, but this month I wanted to change things up. I decided the best place to start was turning to a sketch for inspiration. Having the design already finished made this a quick page to put together. What I loved about Nancy’s sketch was the grid background contrasting with the curved title.

I started by using Photoshop to make a grid of springtime photos, which I adhered to my cardstock. I really liked the curve of the title in the original sketch. To make my own curved title I used a two inch punch to cut a circle tag out of white cardstock. Then I took the “spring” stamp from The Birds and the Bees Documenter Kit and placed the stamp on my acrylic block in an arch. I stamped my title directly on the circle tag and added it to my layout with some pop up dots to make it stand out.

After finishing the title, all that was left was to add in some journaling and embellishments. Once again I turned to The Birds and Bees Documenter Kit, and used a variety of the heart stickers. I loved that each little heart had its own unique design. I completed the layout by adding in pop up dots to give the embellishments some extra dimension.

Thanks so much for joining me today. I hope you are inspired to pick one of the sketches to work with!

I used the Documentor Sketch. I replaced the banner with a circle cut from a card and added to another card for Earth Day.
