I wasn't sure how I was going to use those speech bubbles. I always think they are cute, but just don't know how to use them. I thought they would be fun on a layout with all of the random Snapchat photos that I send to Troy. It has kind of become a joke between us. :)

I wound up using all of the speech bubbles from both the Scrapbook and Documenter Kits! And, I thought they would just wind up sitting in my stash. I confess, this layout even sat on my desk for over a week after I had glued the speech bubbles down because I still just wasn't sure about it. It turned out to be one I really like!

My challenge for you for National Scrapbooking Day is to use that kit item or item in your stash that you just aren't sure how to use! Put it to use! It very well may become one of your new favorite layouts!
When you complete this challenge, upload it to the member gallery and leave a link to your project in the comments below. See ALL of the crop challenges here.

I loved the stars in the April kits but just couldn't get them to work.

I had a hard time deciding what to use the lenticular card and have had it for a while. I decided to use it to make a handmade card.

Chipboard frames. I love them but have a hard time using them. They always end up in my give away pile.

I never planned to use the wood veneer butterflies from the Bird and the Bees kit. Until I went to EPCOT and got a photo of a butterfly on my hand! I just copied what Nancy Damiano did with painting the veneer. Not very original, but it's hard to improve on her idea.

I didn't know how to use these die cuts so I just lined them up on the bottom of my picture:

I had an entire box of frames that I had been collecting because they never seemed to fit anywhere. I also had some photos that I had printed from my cross country trip in 2015 that I ever used in my mega album,
I cut them up and made a collage. Great stash buster!

I wasn't sure how I would use those circles in the Lens kit this month. I tried it with a photo I had and turned it into my title. https://www.studiocalico.com/galleries/202674-my-view

I got real creative with die cuts from the Starry Night kit, Domestic Bliss, by using them in my travel journal! I normally have a hard enough time using die cuts in my layouts, but I thought they worked perfectly for my travel journal. I used the speech bubble " um, I don't think so" to convey how I think I am going to feel about skipping sleep while traveling overseas and right into sightseeing, and the house as my hotel. The other sentiments I used worked as well. It feels good to finally start using some of the items I don't ever use.

I have kept that wood veneer grid piece from the Cirque kits for forever, so I thought it was time I put it to use! And I like what I did with it! https://www.studiocalico.com/galleries/202732-love-you

Remember those odd-shaped enamel things from Camelot? Sort of a flower, sort of a crown? I used 5 of them. Only a couple left.

I used the frosty / clear enamel dots from the Underground Card kit. I love those dots but rarely use them. I find them hard to incorporate into a project.

The label paper was my favorite paper from Film Club, but I didn't know how to use it at first. I ended up cutting it up and I love the result!
