Using the Been & Gone Kits with Lisa Truesdell

Tags:

Hello, everyone! As we head into the busy days of summer, I am forever looking for ways to speed up my memory keeping process. Let's face it—in a season of camp drop-offs and swim team practices, there's not a lot of free time! For this layout, I turned to a 4" x 6" paper pad to a quick layered background.

I chose four patterns from the pad and stacked them down the middle of my layout. I layered my photo over the top, and then added the neon washi from the Been & Gone Scrapbook Kit for a bold pop of color. At this point, I'd been at my desk for 10 minutes and my page was nearly done!

I opted to keep things simple and added minimal embellishments—a few tickets and bits of patterned paper, and the pretty copper asterisks from the Scrapbook Kit. The Mega Time stamp is big and bold enough to serve as a title on my page, and I finished it all of with a bit of journaling. I wrapped up the page in time to take the kids to the pool. ;)

I'd love to hear your favorite quick tips for summer layouts! Share them in the comments below.
