Our Layout of the Week, 3 Sisters, comes from our member Kathy (username pinksoup). We love how Kathy created layered florals as a base for her photo and used a sketch from Summer of Sketches 2017 to inspire her design. To keep up with Kathy and see more of her work, be sure to follow her here at SC.

Here's what Kathy has to say about her project:

This layout came together with a sketch from the Summer of Sketches 2017 class which enabled me to make it in record time. The challenge to create a "frilly/frufru" project was from WhamBamPam's 6/16/17 post. The photo was a favorite since my three sports oriented girls are rarely seen dressed up and in full makeup. The floral ephemera from Maggie Holmes complimented the photo with mostly pink flowers and a few orange and gray ones to match the photo. I arranged them on a bed of orange and white doilies with Bazzill's dotted swiss embossed cardstock as a base. A sprinkle of gold sequins completed the look. Thanks to those who added this to their inspiration books!

Congratulations, Kathy! More members added this project to their inspiration books for the week of 6.13 - 6.19 than any other, making it our Layout of the Week! You have won a $10 gift card to be used on any new purchase at Studio Calico. Want a chance to win next week? We love our creative community and invite you to be a part of it. Share your work in the Studio Calico member gallery, and don't forget to take the time to add your favorites to your own inspiration book.
