Sunday Sketch | Nancy Damiano

This week our scrapbook sketch is an 8.5" x 11" layout featuring a large centered photo and journaling, separated by circular elements. Our card sketch has a slightly offset focal element and title over layering. And our pocket page sketch features a 3" x 4" journaling card with a circular element and a 4" x 6" title card with embellishment. This week, I chose Catherine's fun documenter layout for a jumping-off point for my spread. The two cards from the sketch immediately drew my eye—one full of shape and the other with a fun design.

The larger 4" x 6" card

I love how Catherine's card featuring a circle and number break up all the linear shapes in her documenter spread. I created a similar look with a circular transparency with the word GO! A chipboard banner instead of the strip of patterned paper in the inspiration underlines the card.
