Using the Let's Go Documenter Kit with Kelly Noel
Tags:Hello, SC friends! The "Let's Go" Kits are so much fun—I love the bright, bold colors and fun embellishments in all of the kits. This month's Documenter Kit has a great variety of cards, and my favorite parts of the kit are the chipboard embellishments and the adorable emojis! We recently took a trip to visit family in Indiana (a long 16-hour drive from Florida!), and I loved the travel vibe of the stamp set in this month's kit, so I thought it would be perfect to help document our trip.

One of my favorite cards in this month's kit was this "Q & A" card. I love to record the funny things my kids say, so it was perfect! When we returned from our trip, my mom asked our four-year-old what his favorite part of the trip was. His reply had us cracking up: "the hotels we lived in." We only stayed two nights in a hotel and that was on the way up and on the way down. They definitely weren't the highlight of our trip at all. Kids say the funniest things! I added two puffy emoji stickers—one in each text box—to add some detail to the card.

I love chipboard accents—they are perfect for adding just the right amount of detail and dimension to any page. I'm always mindful when I take photos to keep some negative space in the frame. Negative space allows for adding additional journaling and/or embellishments. I used the negative space on my ice cream photo and fire pit photo to add some chipboard embellishments, which adds a fun detail to them.

While I love stamping, I'm sometimes scared of messing up a photo or journaling card, fearing I won't be able to stamp straight or that I won't get a clear, crisp image. I did pretty well on the "travel notes" journaling card on this page, but I was too afraid to stamp directly onto the 4" x 6" photo. So, I used the digital version of the stamp instead, which also allowed me to add a bit of text that serves as somewhat of a title for this page.

I hope I've inspired you to break out your "Let's Go" Documenter Kit and document your summer memories!

That is so funny about the hotel stays! I understand completely. My 2 grandsons love to stay at hotels. Even more than going to the Disney parks, although they are starting to appreciate the parks a little more.
