Holiday Crop | Use Punches for Your Background

Tags:

Tis the season of paper crafting everything merry and bright! For some holiday fun, we're issuing ten festive challenges based on Creative Team projects. We hope you'll play along!

This challenge comes from CT member Kelly Noel based on her project, Merry & Bright.

The Making Spirits Bright collection has been AMAZING to work with—I love every bit of it! Here I used the patterned papers to create a festive background for my page with circles. I cut the little postage stamp icons from the patterned paper to fill in the gaps along with the enamel dots and sequin stars. The transparency phrases are PERFECT for quick titles and I love that you can layer them over photos to create a seamless look.

Punches are tried-and-true tools that have stood the test of time, especially the basic shape punches! For this challenge, use your punches to create a background for your project.

Let's see how you use punches for a chance to win a $10 GC to the Studio Calico shop! Your project can be holiday or non-holiday related. When you complete this challenge, upload it to the member gallery and leave a link to your project in the comments below. See all of our holiday challenges here.
