Using the Homestead Kits with Mandie Pierce

Hi, there! Mandie here with a new layout for you using the November "Homestead" Kits. I kept this layout super simple. I focused on the photo/simple story of the layout. Those always wind up being my favorite projects!

I'm a true homebody and an introvert. I love staying home and reading and quiet time. Unfortunately, our days right now are filled all of the time with events and meetings. But recently, we had a quiet Sunday evening—it was amazing. I read, and Troy answered work emails on his computer.

When I saw the "let's stay inside" card in the Documenter Kit, I knew I could totally relate. I wanted to use it on this layout. I love Jasmine Jones' lettering, but it didn't fit in the week that I made for the gallery. I decided to use it for a layout instead. I trimmed it down to make a square instead of a rectangle.

I accented the layout simply. I used a couple of small strips of patterned paper from the Scrapbook Kit to line the side of the photo. I layered a die-cut and puffy sticker from the Documenter Kit with the "let's stay inside" card. I also used one of the die-cut houses and several of the puffy stickers from the Documenter Kit to further accent the page.
