Sunday Sketch | Lisa Truesdell

This week our scrapbook sketch is a 12" x 12" layout featuring a tree design of triangle patterned papers with a vertical photo on the right side and embellishment in the upper left-hand corner. Our card sketch has a large, centered title with embellishment above it and to the right and a simple bow underneath. And our pocket page sketch features a 3" x 4" photo card with simple embellishment and a 3" x 4" filler photo with a banner at the top. Happy Christmas Eve, everyone! I feel in love with the sketch based on Carson's layout - that Christmas tree is amazing! I loved the overall balance of her project, but wanted to go for a more subtle design that was a better fit for my style. I started the page by blocking off a vertical section on the right with patterned paper, and then used three horizontal strips in place of the tree. I kept to blues / greens for these patterned papers, but if you wanted a higher energy look, try using higher contrast colors! I finished the page by layering in my photo and adding some embellishments.
