Hi! I'm Mandie. I'm happy to be back at Studio Calico contributing this month. I'm going to say I'm a 30-something mom of three. That 30-something status will change this year. We're an Air Force family, so we've been a little bit of everywhere—from as far north as Anchorage, AK and as far south as Miami, FL. We're currently in Northern California. I obviously love scrapbooking, reading, exercise, and cooking (but not the cleaning up part. Ha!). I've been a scrapbooker since 1999. I think I've seen just about all of the trends come and go. I've probably tried out all of the styles, but I think what works best for me is a simple style. I also love Project Life®. Life right now has me behind on that. Someday I'll be on top of it, right?

Cuddle Up – I love this layout. I love the story it tells. My youngest can be challenging. He's stubborn and has strong opinions. These are qualities that will be great as an adult but are hard to parent. He has the sweetest heart. I treasure the sweet, tender moments with him. I absolutely adore the fun papers in the "Hey Girl" Kits. I chose the bolder colors and patterns for this layout of my boy. The alphabet stamp + letter stickers made for a perfect title pair.

13 and 3/4 – I kept this layout super simple and let the focus lay on the story and the large numbers. I love the vellum numbers this month. They are such a fun size. I layered them over a couple of strips of patterned paper. That grid/lined paper was just begging to be a background; so I trimmed it down for my layout.

V. Sattui – I LOVED the vellum with words paper. Having two boys and a not-girly girl, I knew that I wouldn't be using it on them. I decided to use it for a layout about a recent "going away" we did at V. Sattui for one of my fellow command spouses. It also gave me the opportunity to use that pretty silhouette paper! I feel like I kept this layout pretty simple, but more layered than I normally do. I layered some of my favorite papers under the photo. Clearly, the dotted paper was a favorite for me. Originally, I was going to keep the color scheme black and white, but decided to add some color with the floral paper and letter stickers.
