NSD Crop Challenge | Count it Up with Lisa Truesdell

Welcome to the Studio Calico NSD crop! I'm ever so slowly working on an album from our 2014 Disney trip (by which I mean I occasionally do pages and throw them in the same album). So when I saw the big numbers in this month's "Hey Girl" Scrapbook Kit, I thought it would be fun to do an overview page of each day for the title page of the book. I mixed the big vellum numbers with stamping and letter stickers for a fun look.

For added interest, I made sure to vary my numbers. Of the stamped words, some are right-side up and some are turned vertically. I did the same thing with the letter sticker numbers. For a pop of bold color, I backed the number 9 vellum number with the negative piece of vellum from the hole in the number six. I included stitching for texture and stamped the date near each number. A few strips of patterned paper and washi add the perfect finishing touches.

For this challenge, I want you to count it out. These types of layouts can be so fun. Count out the days of a vacation like I did, count facts about the subject of your page, or count out the memorable moments from a big event. There's so much you can do with this idea.
