Sunday Sketch | Anna-Maria

This week, our layout sketch is an 8.5x11 layout with a grid design and plenty of white space. Our card sketch features a trio of circle elements and our Project Life sketch uses a 3x4 photo, caption on an angle and room for journaling. Creative Team member, Anna-Maria Wolniak, is joining us this week & sharing her take on our scrapbook sketch! Be sure to follow Anna-Maria here at SC to see more of her work and keep up with her.

Our 8.5x11 sketch comes from April Foster's Shine layout:

Our card sketch comes from Dana Fleckenstein's Happy Birthday To You card:

Our Project Life sketch comes from Catherine Davis' January Title Page:

And here's Anna Maria's take on our scrapbook sketch:

Hi everybody! I have an honour to share first February sketches with 'Cirque' kits. I chose to work with a scrapbook sketch based on April's layout. I love simple sketches becasue than you can mess with an example (which in other hand is a perfection). But the idea is to use the sketch and create something in your own style. I was inspired by two things this time: with my favourite 'Europe map' stamp and die and by the huge letters which I used to create white on white title (the alphabet is coming from the January 'Ivy Tower' add-on). I used the pictures from my last trip to Spain where I was teaching mixed media classes. The layout is about my dreamy scrapbook work, about amazing people I meet in various countries, etc... I just love my job, it incorporates all the things I adore in my life: art, people, travelling, different languages and customs. This layout remind me that my beloved Poland is not that far away from the rest of the beautiful places in Europe :)

Supplies: Kits - Cirque Scrapbook Kit, Ivy Tower, Far Far Away Scrapbook Kit; Die Set - Europe Stamp & Die Set; rub-ons - Ashley Goldberg Gold Splattered Rub-ons

Now it's your turn! Make a project using one of this week's sketches as a starting point, then share it in the Studio Calico gallery. Use the hashtag #SCsketch to make it easier for other members to find! Leave us a link to your project by February 9th in the comments here to be entered to win a $5 GC to the Studio Calico Shop. This week's sketch winner will be announced in the February 14th Layout of the Week post.

I loved April's page, and I was inspired by the block design to make my page:
