Update - A response to your questions from our CEO, April Foster:
Late last year and early this year, we took a hard look at how to make sure we could maintain price stability while still providing inspiration, education, and high quality products. We needed to make sure we didn't have money spent on wasted inventory which most certainly would result in price increases which we haven't done in 8 years and we didn't want to start doing now.
Instead, we chose to be better predictors of inventory which means a requiring a commitment from our customers. By accurately predicting quantities, we would not need to raise prices, which after listening to our customers and focus groups, we determined was the correct course of action.
As always, we will continue to reward our customers, especially the most loyal. We wouldn't be here without you! Our current practice is to ship rewards orders on the first day of shipping, and we have not discussed changing that benefit. However, we are constantly reviewing our perks and trying to improve them, and we have been collecting information from our customers on what's important to you as a rewards member. We're in the early stages of analysis there, but do plan to make a change later this year or early next year so we can change as your needs change and as our offering grows.
I understand the concern about canceling with a penalty. If an emergency arises, please let our CS team know and they will work with you as they have in the past. We are real people here with compassion and big hearts and want to always do what's right for you.
Especially for internationals, we couldn't sustain the current model considering shipping costs and excess inventory. In exchange for your commitment, we are giving you the least expensive price, along with 6 months to think about what's the best option for you.
In closing, for those currently subscribing, you have 6 months to enjoy all the benefits you are used to, but at the lowest price. That gives you time to understand how these changes have affected you, your buying habits, and make a decision on whether to stay at the month-to-month price or make a larger commitment.
That's it for now! We'll be continuing with more site updates later this week. If you have any questions please open a conversation with Customer Service.

@ekaterine two wrongs never make a right. I have had the utmost appreciation, in all my years of being a part of SC, towards customer service and caring about what we want, always asking for input AND listening to it. If you don't like the wording don't post slandering remarks all over for the entire world to see. That's just mean. If something bothers someone, make your own decision or open a conversation but don't post mean things about one blog post and basically gossip about it right in front of everyones faces.
I am not one to comment normally but when I clicked on the email I received it took me straight here, and I wish it hadn't. I would have rather not saw such hateful things. Yes that's a strong word, but those are some pretty harsh comments. Posted for everyone to see, I'll add again. Text each other if it makes you feel better to talk badly about something and push your opinion on each other that way, not here :)
(That's not directed to you personally, it's just to all the mean things being posted)

Can someone from SC please respond to not having access to classes if you are not a subscriber. I have purchased 31 classes and do not care to loose that investment. They were advertised to be available ongoing. Subscriptions should not be tied to classes purchased. Am I to understand that you will have them available to subscribers, but not to those who paid for them who don't have subscriptions? There is no additional cost for you to allow us to access the content we paid for. I am not sure I understand your reasoning on this or if it is even legal, given the advertising that made me decide to buy them in the first place.

I still love SC. There is no other place that I can go to get all the cool items in these kits. I get the SB and the PL and right now pay $57.74. With the increases in both kits I will pay $60.98 which is a difference of $3.24. No big deal to me. Everything does come down to the almighty dollar after all.

I get the SB and PL each month and they raising the price but not by much. They are just adding the shipping into the old price with a small increase. I will now pay 60.98 for both monthly, which I am fine with.

I used to love SC. I have been a sub of pl and scrapbook for about a year and 1/2..but..first was the tiny stamps issue, then came the one less paper in the scrapbook kit issue, now...charging us shipping on both the pl kit and the scrapbook kit even if I bundle??? nope..nada..sorry sc as soon as my price increases...I'm outta here!

Wow....so if I reading everything right...there is no such thing as free shipping anymore....I have 3 months left on my subscription and then I will cancel yet again. There is not enough product in these kits to make it worth my time. Other kit clubs have a ton of product and charge much, much less and have better customer service. I like SC paper and that is the only reason I subscribe. I think I can do without it.
